Downtown Services Are On The Move!

Small Community Living Options and Independent Living Support (The Hub) leadership is on the move! Starting February 1, 2026, the Balsam leadership team will find their new cozy space at 517 King Street in Bridgewater awaiting their arrival. As the new kids on the block, we look forward to sharing space with a wonderful neighbor, MP Jessica Fancy.  

Moving to a larger location will allow Balsam to be more community-connected, inclusion centered, and person directed as we navigate the provincially implemented Remedy. The Remedy mandates focus on supporting individuals living with diverse abilities in the community, independent living, and supportive learning environments such as day programs. The physical space will provide opportunities for persons served to be gainfully engaged in meaningful activities, explore what person directed choice looks like to them, and possible employment options within programming.  

Balsam will host a public open house in the near future, and we hope to see many friendly and supportive faces.
